Southeast Minnesota SBDC Receives a Grant from MBFC

Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) presented a check to the Southeast Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on the campus of the Rochester Community & Technical College (RCTC).

The Southeast SBDC serves an eleven county area of Southeast Minnesota. Wilson noted that this support from MBFC will help leverage a local matching grant fund for small business consultants. Programs at the SBDC assist business owners with professional consulting, technical assistance, and access to capital to grow and succeed in the economy in the region.

In 2018 the SE MN SBDC assisted in financing projects for over 500 loans totaling just under $2 million dollars. Wilson advised they typically work with entrepreneurs and small business owners with under 500 employees and under $6 million dollars in sales.
