MBFC Awards a Grant to North Central Economic Development Association (NCEDA)

Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) awarded a grant to North Central Economic Development Association (NCEDA) in Staples, MN. The Rural-Micro-Entrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP) capitalizes funds from a revolving loan fund. RMAP makes loans, provides business-to-business training, as well as technical assistance to rural micro borrowers.

This opportunity is offered in partnership with the East Central Regional Development Commission (ECRDC) to 10 difference counties in central Minnesota. Eligible applicants with expansion or projects with a high degree of techinical assistance can use this additional affordable funding source.

MBFC Presents a Grant to North Central SBDC!

On Thursday, May 12, 2016 Minnesota Business Finance Corporation presented a grant to North Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN.

The North Central SBDC plans to use funds for loan packaging assistance needed by small businesses and aspiring small business owners in North Central Minnesota.

The North Central SBDC serves approximately 11 counties in central Minnesota. Services provided include: assisting with bank loan programs, facilitating SBA needs for business owners, DEED, and regional loan programs to facilitate small business growth.

Save the Date Announced for the SBA Minnesota Lenders Conference

The Minnesota District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration has announced the Save the Date for the Fall SBA Minnesota Lenders Conference.  The event will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 8:30 AM at the Marriott Minneapolis Northwest located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Registration details are coming soon. The conference hosts a variety of workshops, exhibitors, an awards ceremony, and a networking reception for all attendees.

The “Who Should Attend” list includes: Commercial & Business Bank Lenders, Credit Union Lenders, Credit Analysts, Underwriters, Credit Administration, SBA Servicing Providers, Loan Packagers, Microloan Lenders, Community Advantage Lenders and others!

Tuesday, May 3, 2016 Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) attended and exhibited at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC)-Small Business Resource Fair in Moorhead, MN.

The SBDC partnered with North Dakota Small Business Administration and MBFC as well as other businesses in part to celebrate the NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS WEEK being held across the country!

The Small Business Resource Fair hosted more than 20 assistance providers on-site, exhibitors geared towards helping small business, and 10 different workshops, all at no cost to business owners.

MBFC Presents VetLoan Advantage Rebate to Northern Peace Funeral Home in Walker, MN
Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) is honored to present Jarrod and Jenelle Mankie of Northern Peace Funeral Home in Walker, MN, MBFC’s VetLoan Advantage rebate check for $3,000.  MBFC is the only Certified Development Company in Minnesota to offer a rebate to business owners that are active or retired members of military service.
Owner, Jenelle Mankie, is a 21 year Veteran with service as a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force including deployment overseas in Turkey. Her husband, Jarrod, was a member of the U.S. Air Force for 2 years before his professional career. The photograph shown above is a commemorative display of Military items in honor of this service located at their business.Mankie’s purchased the funeral home after Jenelle retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2009. They have constructed a new building for Northern Peace Funeral Home in Walker, MN.
The project was done in partnership with Security Bank USA of Bemidji, MN along with an SBA 504 loan through MBFC.At MBFC, we believe in supporting veterans and improving our communities by providing more-affordable funding for start-up and existing businesses.  MBFC’s VetLoan Advantage program complements the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) veteran loan strategic initiatives!
